ABOUT THIS CHURCH
There is more of interest in this small church than first meets the eye. It was joined with Paull until 1954 when it was joined with Burstwick and only became a separate parish in 1988. The chancel and nave are undivided and there is much rebuilding and patching in stone and brick. A tower was rebuilt in 1758 but demolished during later works in 1858. There was also a chancel and remains of a jamb of the chancel arch in the east wall. There are two c12 doors, one blocked on the south wall in the chancel and another in the south wall of the nave.
