The Parish registers from late 17th century will be on display, as will display boards with information about the history and development of the church.

Afternoon tea with home made cakes will be available throughout the afternoon.
 

ABOUT THIS CHURCH

St Peter’s is a cobble and stone dressing construction, mainly perpendicular but with one Early English and Decorated windows to the chancel north, south chapel and aisles. The handsome tower is c15 and dominates the picturesque street. The brick east end of the chancel is of 1838 with later restoration work of 1868 by Hull architect Charles Hutchinson, the stone and marble pulpit is by him. The font is c13 and the church contains much stained glass from the 1880s-1890s.
